News-Announcements-Upcoming Events-Thoughts
*I will be announcing chase plans, forecasts, site changes, and any other pertinent chasing information here*

~ 6/16/10 - 6:00 A.M. - Morning! First off I went to say Happy Birthday to my sister in law Colleen! Now onto business. It was a busy night last night for me. I spent all night digging up photos/video/documentation of EVERY single chase I have been on. To be honest there are a number of events where I didn't take any pictures or video of. However, I remember the day as I used to have a journal I wrote stuff down in. I have added all the dates and will do my best to add these to the site. My next goal is to add 2010 as that is current and I still chasing. I have already added the Chaser TV and Spotter Network widgets to the home page so you can now track me while I am on the chase! Speaking of chasing I will be *probably* leaving a little later today for Thursday's chase in Western Minnesota. My grandma turns 80 on Friday so I need to be back then, or else I would probably be chasing Friday. The GFS shows an extremely active pattern for the Great Lakes and Upper Midwest so chasing is FAR from over with this year!

~ 6/15/10 - 7:00 P.M. - Well it has been an interesting and stormy day everywhere but here in Romeoville. All the storms have gone to the south, the heavy rain to the north and east, leaving me here watching the White Sox game with a light drizzle. I have added April 13th, 1998 and June 1st, 1999 chase logs while cooking dinner. Check them out by clicking on the hyperlinks OR by clicking on the Past Chase Logs tab. I like the way the new lay out gels together so we will see if we can't run with this a little while. My goals include jazzing up the home page and adding more links, while adding chase logs. It is still a work in progress, but as long as this idea stays firmly implanted into my head, I think we will be alright. As for chasing, it still looks alright to go Thursday. Definitely going to be forecasting tonight, but odds are I will be out chasing Thursday some where near Sioux Falls, SD and points east. Stay tuned!

~ 6/15/10 - 6:00 A.M. - New site layout and slowly rebuilding chase logs and other miscellaneous items on this website. Reason for rebuild is I didn't like how boring my previous page was. No interaction between me and my viewers, no thoughts and feelings about thing and most importantly it was not up to date. Today severe weather may occur and I may even go on a local chase. Right now I need sleep but will continue to hammer away at this project and get as much as I can done. Eying a potential chase this Thursday in SW Minnesota and NW Iowa. Although Iowa is well.... Iowa..... I am not taking a set up off this year. CAPE is on the order of 5000+ with alright shear. As usual, the cap will be the issue, especially the further south you go. Discrete supercells with possible tornadoes would be the desired mode. Stay tuned for future updates!
